Clink Street ‘88 Series

Staffordshire Stoneware clay, Sunshine glaze, ceramic in-glaze transfers.

This is an original artwork - a one off piece of pottery (no editions).

Part of our Clink Street ‘88 Series, this unique pot features a selection of quotes and rave scenes as ceramic in-glaze transfers, laid into an Acid House Sunshine glaze. During the summer of 1988 there were a series of Acid House raves and parties in Soho Wharf in Clink Street. This series of Parties were the birth place of Acid House in the UK and for many it was the first time they had heard this music. Our Clink Street ‘88 Series celebrates this important cultural event which contributed so much to the development of UK dance music and culture.

Hand thrown and fired to 1,220°C.
